Background

High standards are required for sorting clean coal, gangue-bearing coal and gangue
The company requires clean coal: gangue in coal ≤ 5‰
The company originally used manual sorting, which had low output, high cost and safety risks.

Manual sorting

Over the years, Mr. Huang, the person in charge, has inspected the intelligent dry sorting equipment of multiple manufacturers, but none of them could meet the company's requirements after sample sorting tests. On August 20, 2023, Mr. Huang sent 200 kilograms of original coal and went to the site to conduct sorting tests with the DRX intelligent mineral sorting equipment. After seeing the satisfactory test results, he immediately decided to launch the DRX intelligent mineral sorting equipment project.

Effects

1. The number of staff has been reduced from 30 to 4, and the annual labor cost has been reduced by more than 2.5 million yuan.
2. The production capacity has increased from 150,000 tons to 600,000 tons, and only one screening is required, without the need for secondary loading and discharge of gangue.
3. The power consumption is less than 1 kWh per ton, and the processing capacity can reach 350 tons per hour.

Background

Yongtai Energy Group Co., Ltd.: The only listed private enterprise in the coal sector, the intelligent dry separation system was publicly tendered and purchased in March 2025, and DRX intelligent mineral separation equipment won the bid.
Coal sorting plant requirements:
1. Production capacity
The screening system is designed to produce 800 t/h of raw coal, and the sorting system is designed to produce no less than 200 t/h.
2. Coal quality characteristics
The yield of 50-300 mm particle size in the raw coal is 25%, and the gangue content in the lump coal is 70-80%.
3. Modification process and requirements
An intelligent dry sorting system is proposed to replace the manual sorting system to process large lumps of raw coal larger than 50 mm. After screening, the raw coal above the screen enters the intelligent dry sorting machine, while the coal below the screen enters the fine coal transfer conveyor. After the sorting machine, a small vibrating screen is added for secondary recovery of coal adhering to the gangue surface. After screening, the gangue falls to the ground, and the clean coal after selection can be dropped to the ground via a flap control or transferred to the fine coal conveyor via a belt conveyor.

Sorting calcined kaolinite
The company's requirements: Remove impurities and sort high-whiteness kaolinite; Sorting kaolinite by whiteness grade
The company uses manual sorting, which results in low yield, high costs, and poor cleanliness, especially for raw materials that are white outside but have impurities inside.

On May 6, 2025, Mr. Li, the head of the company, arranged to send 100 kilograms of raw materials to provide raw materials for the sorting test of the DRXV intelligent mineral sorting equipment that combines X-ray and industrial camera imaging on site.

Sorting test

Sample testing: June 2025, one month (including algorithm optimization).
Test results: Fully meets the requirements for calcining kaolinite, removing debris, selecting high-whiteness kaolinite, and sorting kaolinite of different grades by whiteness.

Background

A mining company in Honduras, Central America, needed to sort antimony ore into three grades.
The company originally didn't sell the ore by grade, failing to meet market demand because manual sorting was impossible.
Use DRX intelligent mineral sorting equipment for sorting tests.

Sorting test

Sample arrival: Antimony ore samples received from Honduras on June 4, 2025.
Data acquisition: X-ray images of the antimony ore were obtained on June 6, 2025.
Sample sorting: On June 13, 2025, the DRX intelligent mineral sorting equipment was used to test and the samples were separated into four categories in half an hour.
Sample for chemical testing: Sent to Beijing on June 18, 2025.
Test report: Chemical test analysis reports for the four samples were received on July 28, 2025. Product grading: Based on the results, three products were selected and sorted: Sample 1 + Sample 2 = Product 1, Sample 3 = Product 2, and Sample 4 = Product 3, which precisely met market demand.

For the antimony ore samples sent by a mining company in Honduras, Central America, we used DRX intelligent mineral sorting equipment to conduct sorting tests. Four categories of samples were sorted according to the density of the antimony ore. After testing, they were merged into three categories just met the production sorting requirements of the company for three grades of products.

Background

The coal mined by the Xinjiang A Mining Company contains 60% lumps larger than 50mm after screening. The company previously relied on manual sorting on a conveyor belt to remove gangue and low-quality coal, which was costly and inefficient. The company decided to introduce advanced, environmentally friendly, and energy-efficient dry sorting equipment to separate clean coal, coal with gangue, and gangue. They sent a 75kg coal sample to test its sorting performance using the DRX intelligent sorting equipment.

DRX equipment sorting test

Coal samples shipped: Shipped from Xinjiang on August 7, 2025
Sample arrival: Received Xinjiang Coal Samples on August 12, 2025
Sample sorting: On June 14, 2025, Mr. Liu conducted on-site testing using the DRX intelligent mineral sorting equipment. In 20 minutes, the samples were separated into three types: clean coal, gangue-bearing coal (medium coal), and gangue.
Sorted sample test: On August 15, 2025, Mr. Liu took the sorted samples to Xuzhou Datun Coal and Electricity Company for testing.
Test report: Received the test results report for the three samples sorted out on August 15, 2025
Product sorting: It was decided to conduct a two-stage sorting process based on the selected sorting parameters. The first stage will separate the clean coal and coal with gangue, excluding the gangue. The second stage will separate the clean coal and gangue-bearing coal.
